Crisis Services

The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office was granted funds to support its Crisis Responder (CORE) program which teams local peace officers in San Miguel County with behavioral health clinicians to effectively respond to behavioral and mental health related individuals in crisis. This collaboration works to prevent unnecessary incarceration and hospitalization of mentally ill individuals and facilitates access to mental health treatment and behavioral health resources to all members of the community.

$59,556 was awarded to the CORE program from July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021.
